In 1998, documentary storyteller and photographer Winslow Martin met Father Dajad Davidian in Boston; a chance encounter that led to a lifelong journey to Armenia. Over the next two decades, Winslow returned again and again, camera in hand, capturing the nation’s resilience, grace, and quiet beauty. From mountain weddings to candlelit prayers, he chronicled Armenia not as an outsider, but as a friend invited into its soul.After acclaimed exhibitions in Armenia and the U.S., Love Letter to Armenia now comes to Yerevan as the opening show of the Yerevan Theater Festival, on 19–20 November 2025 at Sundukyan National Theatre.
Hakawati is proud to present this multimedia performance, that blends storytelling, music, and imagery into an healing journey through memory and belonging.
A photo exhibition and wine reception will follow each performance.
