Love in the Walls - film screening
About this Event
Homelessness affects more people than you probably realise. During National Homelessness Week (3 to 9 August), join our free screening of the award-winning documentary Love in the Walls, followed by a short discussion panel.
Love in the Walls is a moving documentary exploring residents’ resilience amid Australia’s deepening housing crisis. Facing loss, systemic challenges, and societal marginalization, they seek to reclaim hope and identity. With raw vulnerability, the film probes how those enduring hardship assert their humanity and whether meaningful coexistence across class divides is possible, urging reflection on shared dignity and connection in an unequal world.
Love in the Walls is the winner of the best Melbourne documentary and emerging director at the Melbourne Documentary Festival 2025.
This event offers a valuable opportunity to listen, learn and reflect on homelessness through the voices of people with lived experience.
Please join us for light refreshments after the panel, to be served at 12 pm.
Doors open at 10:15 am for seating.
