The Parlor Room | Northampton, MA
With early releases, Love Crumbs caught the attention of American Songwriter and Spotify Editorial Playlists, leading to festival invitations and support slots for The Lumineers, Tyler Childers, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty, and The War on Drugs.
Their music is what begins as confession and becomes communion — a shared reckoning that reverberates long after the last chord resolves.
Mare Berger is a singer-songwriter, pianist, teacher, and activist, who has been playing the piano since she was 4. In October 2023, she released a singer-songwriter album, "Dreaming Blue." The intricate melodies and jazz harmony on this album have critics comparing it to Joni Mitchell. Mare had the honor of playing piano with Jolie Holland in September at the Parlor room, and has played keys with other notable artists such as Josephine Foster and Tamar Kali. She has shared bills playing with different bands with artists such as Alynda from Hurray from the Riff Raff, Xenia Rubinos, Valerie June, and has opened up for Mos Def (Yasiin Bey). Mare has played in NYC at notable venues such as the Jazz Standard, The Bitter End, the Aaron Davis Hall, and for the Broadway musical, Evita. Mare has been on tour in Europe, playing music for Tara Rynder’s project: You and Me. Mare has been an artist in residence at the Banff Centre, Harold Arts, ElMERGE, and was a fellow in the Hemispheric Institute’s 2015 EMERGENYC program. Mare has two other albums, The Moon is Always Full, and Maybe So.
