Louth Whiskey Society Christmas Party

Our final event of the year will feature Lough Ree Distillery. As it’s our Christmas party, we’ll also be pouring four extra samples at the end.
The event will take place on Thursday, 11 December at 7.30pm in Russells Saloon.

Lough Ree Distillery is a family owned craft distillery based in Lanesborough, Co. Longford, founded in 2018 by siblings Peter and Michael Clancy and Sheila Mullen. Starting with a small 150 litre copper still, they quickly gained recognition for innovative spirits such as Sling Shot Gin, notable for its unique use of peat as a botanical. While building a larger distillery overlooking Lough Ree, they continue to produce their own small batch whiskey and curate premium sourced releases under The Bridge series. With a strong focus on sustainability and local heritage, the distillery aims to bring exceptional Irish spirits from their hometown to the world. They will pour four expressions on the night.

• Original Jameson 15 year old pure pot still (valued at €1,500 a bottle at The Whiskey Reserve)
