About this Event

What if rest isn’t time wasted—but an essential part of how your brain learns, adapts, creates, and supports your well-being?

Join the Neuroplasticity Alliance’s Louisville Book Club for a four-part exploration of The Brain at Rest. This is not a lecture or a traditional book review. It is a welcoming community gathering where we turn fascinating ideas about the brain into real conversations about our health, habits, challenges, and everyday lives.

Together, we’ll explore the book section by section, discuss what stands out, ask meaningful questions, and consider how the ideas may change the way we think about rest and brain health.

Why should you attend?

  • Make neuroscience easier to understand and more relevant to your life
  • Explore the connection between rest, daily habits, and brain health
  • Discover ideas you can begin applying in practical, realistic ways
  • Hear different perspectives through thoughtful community conversation
  • Build a deeper understanding of your brain and its capacity to adapt
  • Connect with other curious people in the Louisville community

You do not need a background in neuroscience, and you do not need to have all the answers. Come with curiosity, a willingness to participate, and an interest in learning more about your brain.

Meeting Schedule

The Louisville Book Club meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.
