Grammy winner Loudon Wainwright III is a cherished icon of American folk music, a darkly witty and touchingly personal songwriter and storyteller. He started out in the folk clubs of New York and Boston before going on to a long career that’s encompassed both music and acting. He has released over 30 albums and written folk classics including “Dead Skunk” and “The Man Who Couldn’t Cry,” and created music for film and theater.In addition to his musical career, Loudon’s acting credits include Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up (for which he also recorded the soundtrack), The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Christopher Guest’s For Your Consideration, and Parks and Recreation with Amy Poehler.
Singer-songwriter and novelist Wesley Stace, who released many albums under the name John Wesley Harding, opens.
