Back in the mid-nineties, Loud Clangin' & Bangin' won an epic Battle of the Bands that lead to an opening slot for Lynyrd Skynyrd at the local Civic Center. 30 years later we revisit that battle-winning energy that made this rockabilly-punk-blues-metal outfit come out on top.Loud Clangin’ and Bangin’ is a genre-bending trio from Roanoke, Virginia, known for their explosive sound and rebellious spirit. Blending elements of rockabilly, punk, blues, metal, and country, they deliver a high-energy performance that defies categorization and demands attention.
Formed by veterans of Roanoke’s hard rock and metal scene in 1995, the band was born out of a desire to break free from musical conventions. Their signature style involves reimagining nostalgic “oh yeah” tracks—those forgotten favorites—and transforming them into fierce, unforgettable anthems.
With a reputation for electrifying live shows, Loud Clangin’ and Bangin’ has shared the stage with iconic acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Webb Wilder, Blue Moon Boys, Buster B Jones, Thom Bresh, Nokie Edwards of the Ventures, Trace Adkins, Southern Culture on the Skids and Hillbilly Casino, earning respect for both their musical chops and their ability to ignite a crowd.
