Los Sóngoros (Named after a Cuban poem and a line in Guantanamera) is a group of people who came together because of their love of Cuban music. Featuring the talented Carlos Placeres.
The instrumentation is vocals, guitar, Cuban tres,violin, mandolin, congas, bongos, a mixed drum set and many traditional hand percussion instruments.
The group includes founders Nowa Crosby, Cuban tres, violin, mandolin, vocals and Ramiros Barrantes, vocals and percussion; Dwight Ritscher vocals, mixed drum set and percussion; Lucio Costa vocals and 7 string Brazilian guitar; Clarence Davis congas; Marina Martin vocals and percussion. There are also several guest singers who perform with us at various times.
