About this Event
Join folk singer Johnny Campbell and Team Hwæt! for a very special gig, celebrating the second anniversary of our collaborative Lore of the Land guided folklore walks.
Johnny's music, as well as that of our very special guest, Angeline Morrison tell wonderous stories of their own. Their music is very much rooted in the landscape of these lands and the tales they have told for centuries. Folk music, in its very nature wills the listener to connect with the past and so it seems only fitting for them to be accompanied by Team Hwæt! whose small press zine focuses on similar stories of times gone by, but not forgotten.
This very special show at The Golden Lion, Todmorden will see Angeline and Johnny take to the stage and share their music with you in a seated setting. In between their sets, George and Bunty from Hwæt! Zine will regale the audience with regional folk tales, telling of witchcraft, wizardry and more, that surround the Calder Valley. Zines and other merch will be available to purchase on the night.
