Lorcana Pack Rush will be offered every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 5:30pm-8pm. For those looking for other options, check out our Sealed constructed: Single Franchise and Mono Color formats on the 2nd and 4th Friday each month. Weekly Open Social play time slots are on Sundays from 10am-5:45pm. Sundays we do also host MTG competitive commander from 1pm-5:45pm. Should bleedover of players occur, the shop will make accommodations as best as possible, but priority would be given to MTG for the 1pm-5:45pm time slot.
Holidays, and special events such as pre-releases or 5th Fridays/Sundays will have an effect on scheduled time slots.
Lorcana Pack Rush (also known as Two-Pack Battle) is a fast-paced, casual format designed by Ravensburger that lets you play immediately using just two booster packs as your deck.
Core Rules of Pack Rush
The format follows standard Disney Lorcana rules with these specific modifications:
Deck Construction: Each player opens two booster packs and shuffles all 24 cards together to form their deck.
Ink Restrictions: The standard rule limiting you to two ink colors is ignored; you can play any and all ink colors opened in your packs.
Starting Ink: Take the two marketing or puzzle cards from your packs and place them immediately into your inkwell in the ready position to start the game.
Hand Size: Players draw a starting hand of 5 cards (instead of the usual 7). Standard mulligan rules still apply.
All Cards are Inkable: Every card in your deck can be put into your inkwell, even if it doesn't normally have the inkwell icon.
Victory Condition: The first player to reach 15 Lore wins (down from the standard 20).
No "Decking Out": If you run out of cards, shuffle your discard pile to create a new deck and continue playing.
Though the shop does not currently have "Official" Lorcana hosting status--it is in the works. Just as with all of our other games we host, Lorcana will have it's own points structure for seasonal play with a variety of participation and placement points opportunities to earn BIG prizes at the end of each "season" of play. Seasons last from the pre-release of a set to the pre-release of the next.
