This show presents the celebrated photographer’s first exhibition in Malta, a place of personal significance, as Agius has Maltese origins. The exhibition brings together his most iconic portraits and cinematic moments, offering an engaging experience across four rooms.Agius rose to international prominence with his Trainspotting series, capturing the edgy spirit of a generation, and went on to photograph some of the world’s most recognisable figures, including Jack Nicholson and Madonna.
Large-format prints on textured watercolour paper emphasise the material beauty of his work, while a dedicated projection room introduces another dimension. Still actively working at the highest levels of fashion and celebrity photography, Agius reminds us that with persistence, integrity, and a willingness to remain curious, creative vision is always within reach.
His is a journey of artistic excellence: unpretentious, resilient, and profoundly human.
