About this Event

London Open Gardens provides unique access to ticket holders and is an event for all generations to enjoy.

Alongside exciting new green spaces taking part for the first time in 2026, there are 100+ returning gardens spread over 12 London boroughs, which include visitor favourites like the normally locked garden squares in Notting Hill, Kensington and Chelsea, as well as historical City gardens like Charterhouse and Middle Temple. You can also discover hidden rooftop gems such as 25 Cannon Street and Battersea Roof Gardens with incredible views over London. Discover the full list of participating gardens here.

All proceeds from the event support the planning and engagement work of London Parks and Gardens with a percentage shared with participating community gardens.

Look out for our full programme of guided walks, behind the scenes talks and cycle tours. These are exclusively available to ticket holders only for an additional £5 charge each on top of your ticket price.

How does it work?

As a ticket holder, you can choose your own itinerary from the 100+ gardens on offer over the weekend. Please note there is no garden to visit at the pinned Oxford Street location on the Eventbrite map. To start planning your weekend see all participating gardens here and choose which to visit based on your interests using our online garden selector tool. Coming soon you'll also have online access to a FREE visitor map.

Whether your garden interest lies in the historical, traditional, contemporary or experimental you’ll find a selection to match.

When planning your weekend, make sure your chosen gardens are open when you want to visit, as each location operates its own opening and closing times. On arrival, show your ticket to one of our friendly volunteers who can also give you tips on good gardens to visit nearby.

Our Garden Coordinators also curate FREE, self-guided walk routes based on clusters of participating gardens and other local green spaces which will be published online in the spring.
