Join Energy Garden for a compost bay building session at Ladbroke Grove Secret Garden, one of West London’s uniquely hidden green spaces.
About this Event
Join Energy Garden and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) for an afternoon of practical climate action at Ladbroke Grove Secret Garden.
Together, we'll be building a new composting area for the garden while learning how composting can reduce waste, improve soil health and support thriving community green spaces.
Whether you're a seasoned gardener or completely new to composting, everyone is welcome. This is a great opportunity to meet local people, learn practical skills and contribute to a greener neighbourhood.
What you'll be doing
- Helping construct a new compost bay area
- Learning the basics of home and community composting
- Supporting a local community garden
- Meeting fellow volunteers and Green Champions
- Taking part in London Climate Action Week activities
This is a free, drop-in event, perfect for all ages. Bring your friends, family, or neighbours and get active outdoors for a great cause!
Practical Info
- Everyone is welcome, no experience needed.
- Drop in anytime between 13:00–16:00.
- All tools and materials are provided
- Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the weather.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
