About Lohri: Lohri marks the end of the longest night and the celebration of new beginnings.
Traditionally observed during winter solstice, this festival symbolizes the end of the coldest days of winter. It is most often celebrated in households that have recently witnessed marriages or the birth of a child. The evening features the lighting of a bonfire at sunset, around which family and friends gather to sing, dance, and express gratitude by offering sesame seeds, sugar-candy, and sweets to the flames. This ritual serves as a gesture of respect to the Sun God, seeking continued protection and blessings.
With great pride and joy, we extend this invitation to you and your family to join us in celebrating Lohri. Your presence would greatly enrich the evening and strengthen your connection with the community.
