Dr. McDermid will explore the key differences between liars and bullshitters—because they truly aren’t the same—and how understanding this can empower us to better navigate the noise from both humans and bots!

Dr McDermid has over 2 decades of teaching and educational leadership roles at the University of Western Ontario and Monclair State University (New Jersey, USA), as well as teaching at Royal Roads University and currently teaches at Camosun College and MidIsland Elder College in Nanaimo . He is a philospher who specializes in philosophy of science, epistemology, metaphysics, critical thinking and curricular reforms that centres the learner.
