Local Views Through George Masa's Lens

HCGHS will have their next quarterly meeting Saturday, November 7th at 400 N. Main Street Hendersonville at 10:00 am. Social time will begin at 9:30 am with coffee and snacks. Knox Crowell is our speaker and he will talk about when Hendersonville drew high numbers of tourists to the summer fun of nature and the sounds of big bands in the 1920s. Ex-pat Japanese photographer George Masa captured many images of that time. While his work has had deserved attention, this presentation focuses on his local images, some known, some obscure.
