Of the various disasters that have occurred in Scotland over the years, few have left such a haunting legacy as the Kirkintilloch tragedy of 1937. Join Irish labour lawyer and historian Michael Halpenny for a historical and informative talk about the Kirkintilloch Bothy Fire. Michael will share his research on this disaster which took place on 16 September 1937.
This event is part of Local History Month which runs from 2 March - 31 March. Local History Month is an opportunity for local groups to highlight local history and for all members of the community to take part.
