About this Event

You're invited to attend a pension awareness session for members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

Being a member of the LGPS is an important part of planning for your future, but many people are unaware of key actions they should take to get the most from their pension benefits.

The session is run by Shaun Tetley and will cover:

  • how valuable your LGPS pensions is
  • what critical pension tasks you should have carried out and how to do them
  • how to look up your state pension and check for any gaps
  • the importance of making a death grant expression of wish nomination
  • how to register for your pension account and make some basic checks
  • how much income you will need in retirement
  • the tax efficient options to increase your benefits

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Feedback from past attendees has included:

  • 'I now understand for the first time what I need to do on my pension'.
  • 'It was explained in simple layman's terms, so helpful'.
  • 'Thank you so much, I never had a clue how much I would need in retirement'.

We look forward to welcoming you to the session.
