LMMC's Semi-Annual Membership & Community Meeting

Lawrence Mercer Manufacturers Coalition invites manufacturers, educators, workforce partners and community members to its next Semi-Annual Membership & Community Meeting on Tuesday, April 22 at New Castle School of Trades.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 7:30 a.m. for registration, refreshments and networking. The meeting will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 10:00 a.m.

Optional tours of New Castle School of Trades will be available immediately following the meeting.

The program will feature a dynamic lineup of regional speakers.

Dr. Joseph McCormick, Superintendent of Shenango Area School District, and Brendan Hathaway, Junior/Senior High School Principal at Wilmington Area School District, will share their visions for preparing today's students for tomorrow's careers.

Max Crumlich, Manufacturing Partnerships Manager at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will highlight the college's Advanced Manufacturing Pre-Apprenticeship program, which currently enrolls 54 local high school students.

Diane McGuffic, Educational Consultant with Midwest Intermediate Unit 4, and Lynda Jaworski-Rapone, Executive Director of Lawrence County School-to-Work, will speak to new and emerging efforts to encourage students to explore manufacturing careers.

The program will also include updates on LMMC's workforce development priorities, progress across current initiatives and opportunities to strengthen manufacturing career awareness.

By attending, you'll help shape LMMC's priorities, hear progress updates and connect with others committed to strengthening the future of manufacturing in Lawrence and Mercer counties.
