Race Description: Lizard Peak Scramble is a short yet challenging 10k/5k trail run and scramble to the summit of the infamous Lizard Peek.
Runners will leave the start/finish on a two track trail giving the field time to spread out as the racers enter a short section of gravel wash before hitting the climb the Lizard Peak.
Once on the single-track runners will get after it as they ascend and gain 548 feet of elevation in under a half mile. A short but vertical rock wall scramble will test participants agility, nerves and teamwork with Lizard Peak summit towering over head.
Once at the infamous summit runners may take a second to snap a pic, get a “peek” of the giant lizard rock formation 500 feet below or take in the 360° panoramic views of the City and blue waters of Lake Havasu.
A steady descent down the switchbacks will take runners around the mountain before the course splits, sending 5k runners back toward the finish line and 10k runners out to the shores of Lake Havasu at Balanced Rock Cove. 10k runners will be greeted by the shimmering blue waters of Lake Havasu marking the near halfway point.

Portion of event proceeds to benefit Firefighter Mental Health and Peer Support Programs.
