The Christie Institute for Cancer Education in partnership with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Manchester Biomedical Research Centre and the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at The Royal Marsden and the ICR, present the inaugural national joint meeting, Living with and Beyond Cancer: Addressing Cancer Treatment Effects
Hosted by NIHR Manchester and The NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at The Royal Marsden and the ICR, this meeting will explore how research is improving quality of life and survival for people living with and beyond cancer. By 2030, more than 4 million people in the UK are expected to be living with the consequences of cancer and its treatment—often facing complex, long-term health needs.
This study day will highlight leading research into:
• Managing toxicity from immuno-oncology agents
• The late effects of treatment on bone and endocrine health
• Screening strategies for the early detection of second cancers in those at high risk What to expect
• The latest cutting-edge research in Living With and Beyond Cancer and Addressing Cancer Treatment Effects
• Insights from patients sharing their lived experience
•Opportunities to network and collaborate with experts in the field

Suitable for participants from all professional backgrounds with an interest in Living With and Beyond Cancer research.

Venue Information
The Christie Education Centre is located on the 2nd floor in Dept 17 of the main hospital and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Toilets are also on this floor including an accessible toilet. The auditorium has a hearing loop available and ramp access. A prayer room is available and close by. We want everyone attending our event in person to have the best possible experience.
