Living the Vision
Stewarding the Church God Calls Us to Become
The book of Ephesians invites us to see the church not simply as an organization or a building, but as God's living work in the world—a community where heaven and earth begin to meet, where strangers become family, and where Christ is making all things new. In The Vision of Ephesians, N.T. Wright reminds us that the church is called to embody God's future in the present, living as a sign of hope, reconciliation, and abundant life.
In this four-week series, we'll explore what it means to become the church God is calling us to be. Together, we'll discover that stewardship is about far more than finances. It is about offering our whole lives—our gifts, our time, our compassion, our prayers, and our resources—to participate in God's ongoing work of renewal.
During the first three weeks, we'll reflect on God's vision for the church, our identity as one body in Christ, and the invitation to grow into the fullness of God's love. On the fourth Sunday, Commitment Sunday, we'll respond together with gratitude and hope, making our commitments as an act of worship and a tangible expression of the future we believe God is calling us to build together.
Living the vision begins not with what we give, but with who we are becoming.
