About this Event
Celebrate the arrival of Spring with an outdoor yoga workshop at the Beaghmore Stone Circles and take the opportunity to reflect and connect with the prehistoric ceremonial landscape and the people who created it. The site at Beaghmore consist of seven circles, 10 rows of stones and 12 cairns, which align with astronomical events and changes of the seasons. The workshop will be led by experienced and qualified yoga instructor Philip Morgan. Please see the additional information below for what to bring with you.
This event is being delivered as part of the Living Heritage: Past, Present, Future project supported by Department for Communities Historic Environment Fund. This project focuses on the positive contribution the historic built environment can play in our everyday lives, and in preserving cultural heritage and supporting a sustainable future.
Who should attend?
This workshop is open to all 18+, all levels of ability are welcome and no previous yoga experience is necessary.

Important information for attendees:
The workshop will be taking place outdoors, and getting to the site will require crossing uneven ground and should be vigilant for potential trip and slip hazards. Attendees should wear warm comfortable clothing, including layers and outerwear as weather may be cold. In the event of inclement weather, the workshop will as far as possible be relocated to an alternative nearby covered venue.
What to bring:
Participants should bring a yoga mat and a bottle of water.

Trainers Overview:
This workshop will be led by Phillip Morgan, an experienced and qualified Yoga teacher who has been practising Yoga for over ten years. Philip currently teaches in two locations in the Mid Ulster Area, Cookstown and Dungannon. Although Phillip has studied various types of yoga, he now mainly concentrates on Ashtanga Yoga, as this is his personal choice of what to practice. Ashtanga can be quite an intense practise when getting into the more advanced asanas, however Phillip offers lessons for all abilities and levels of experience.
