LiveWell Cooking Series: Good for You Food, Made Easy Join us at Grundy County Memorial Hospital from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. on the following dates:

- Monday, March 17: Beyond Wheat: Exploring Whole Grains, featuring Oats, Barley, and Quinoa.
- Monday, April 21: The Nutritional Powerhouse: Cooking with Beans and Lentils.
When it comes to fueling our bodies, national statistics reveal that there is substantial room for improvement. For example, eighty percent of us don’t consume enough fruits, vegetables, and dairy. Additionally, shifting from refined to whole grains and incorporating more beans and legumes into our diets would greatly enhance our health. The USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans highlight these nutritional gaps as a public health concern.
Join Chef Breanna Staker and GCMH Dietitians for a series of programs that offer recipes, food prep tips, and menu suggestions to help bridge these nutritional gaps. The nutrients we need every day are best found in whole foods, which provide a wide variety of nutrients to create nutrient-rich meals and snacks.
