Live with Meaning - The Greatest Adventure!
About this Event
Our fast-paced lives are filled with a mix of familiar routines and new experiences. We balance work and responsibilities with hobbies, entertainment, relaxation, and the enjoyment of discovering new places and trying new things. Along the way, we pursue our goals, build new connections and nurture existing relationships. And of course, life also brings us challenges and trials that test us.
Through it all, we experience a wide range of highs and lows. Some moments bring excitement, laughter, happiness, a sense of accomplishment, calm, gratitude and hope. Others may bring boredom, stress, overwhelm, restlessness, discouragement or even sadness to name just a few.
But whether joyful or difficult, all our experiences and inner states come and go - sometimes swiftly and sometimes slowly. They are not lasting, they are not stable.
So, from time to time, a quiet inner voice invites us to pause and wonder:
- Despite having more and doing more, do I feel there is more to Life?
- Who am I - beyond roles, expectations, and accomplishments?
- In an uncertain and ever-changing world, is lasting happiness possible? How can I live with greater meaning, fulfillment and purpose?
- How can I meet life's challenges with inner clarity, strength, and serenity?
- How can I grow in awareness of myself and others and help build a better, more conscious world?
Perhaps the search for answers to these questions is the beginning of our greatest adventure!
If such questions stir your heart, join us for an interactive Applied Philosophy workshop featuring a thought-provoking talk and engaging discussions.
Together, we will explore how the timeless wisdom of ancient philosophical traditions can become a living and practical guide to understanding ourselves, navigating life's challenges, and discovering possibilities and potential within us that we have yet to uncover.
Our journey begins with a seemingly simple yet profound invitation: Know Thyself - Who am I? What is the Human Being?
Across cultures and centuries, the journey of self-knowledge has been seen not only as a path to inner strength and wisdom, but also as a way to cultivate virtues, deepen our understanding of others, and become conscious participants in improving the world around us.
No prior experience with philosophy is needed. Within each of us lives a curious explorer, a philosopher with the capacity to ask meaningful questions, discover new perspectives, and transform insight into action, obstacles into growth, and hidden potential into reality.
Come as you are and meet fellow seekers of wisdom. Together, let's embark on this great inner adventure of becoming conscious sculptors of our own lives. Guided by wisdom, compassion, and courage, we can learn to live more meaningfully, deepen our relationships with others, and contribute to a better future.
At the close of the workshop, we will also share details about our unique 12-week Applied Philosophy course which will start the week of November 16.
