About the guests:
Chuck Klosterman is the bestselling author of nine nonfiction books (including "Football;" "X;" "The Nineties; Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs;" and "But What If We’re Wrong?"), two novels ("Downtown Owl" and "The Visible Man"), and the short story collection "Raised in Captivity." He has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, GQ (London), Esquire, Spin, The Guardian (London), The Believer, and ESPN. Klosterman served as the Ethicist for The New York Times Magazine for three years and was an original founder of the website Grantland with Bill Simmons.
Annabelle Gurwitch is an actress, activist, and New York Times bestselling author of six books and a two-time finalist for the Thurber Prize. Her writing has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, and Haaretz, amongst other publications. The long-time co-host of "Dinner and a Movie" on TBS, the most popular cable show on Friday nights during her stint, a regular commentator on NPR, her acting credits include "Seinfeld," "Dexter," "Better Things," and movies "Daddy Day Care," "The Shaggy Dog," and "Ambulance." A long-time activist, she is a frequent contributor to the Economic Hardship Reporting Project, founded by her friend and mentor Barbara Ehrenreich. She is a breast and lung cancer survivor.
Skyler Higley is a stand-up comedian, WGA-award winning writer, and actor who comes out of Chicago's legendary comedy scene. Skyler’s razor-sharp writing has been honed from contributing positions at ClickHole and The New Yorker, as well as staff writing gigs at "The Onion" and "Conan." Skyler was named one of New York Comedy Festival's 'Comics To Watch' in 2019, and was one of the Just For Laughs Festival’s New Faces in 2022, bringing a comedic style described by his former boss Conan O'Brien as “delightfully bizarre and undeniably hilarious.”
Georgia Maq served as the trailblazing frontwoman of the punk trio Camp Cope for 8 years, confronting music industry sexism with fierce indie rock and earning international acclaim before their 2023 farewell show at the Sydney Opera House. Now based in LA, Maq continues opening up on her vulnerabilities and heartbreaks in her solo career. Her latest release, "God's Favourite EP," marks a shift toward soulful Americana ballads, mining themes of romantic and self-love and growing far beyond her Melbourne punk origins.
