About this Event
Friday evening, April 17th, Kristal Parke will screen her powerful documentary, Because She's Adopted, at the Dougherty Arts Center & Zilker Hillside Theater. This will begin at 6:00 PM. After, we’ll gather for food and connection nearby (details to follow).
Saturday, April 18th, Damon Davis of the Who Am I Really? podcast will be kicking things off as the day's emcee and moderator! We will begin in the morning, starting at 10:00 AM and ending by 3:00 PM.
The day will include:
- Photographs of Adoptees by Jeff Forney of The Innocent People Project.
- A Live Podcast with Sarah & Louise - Guest TBD
- A panel discussion with adoptees and adoption-informed guests - panel TBD.
- We’ll conclude the day with the incredibly moving one-woman performance of Un-M-Othered by Dr. Liz DeBetta.
- Note: After a late afternoon break, we will gather at a local bar or restaurant on Saturday night. (TBD)
- Sunday, April 19th: For those in town, we can meet for a possible walk around Lady Bird Lake and breakfast or coffee afterward.
