This August, The Rose & Lion welcomes The Alternators – a Surrey-based band that takes familiar songs, cranks up the voltage and delivers them with a spark all of their own.
Featuring both male and female lead vocals, The Alternators pride themselves on doing things differently. Rather than rolling out the same predictable setlist, they dig deep into the musical treasure chest to bring back songs you've forgotten you loved, alongside inventive reworkings, unexpected mash-ups and fresh takes on classic favourites.
From indie anthems and rock classics to new wave, soul, pop and punk, their eclectic repertoire includes music from artists such as Blondie, David Bowie, The Beatles, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, The Smiths, The Strokes, Queen, The Police, Franz Ferdinand, Stereophonics and many more.
