Darell has enjoyed great success touring Europe with his band as a singer in Gospel, R&B and Jazz. In addition to his success as a singer, Darell has also received high praise for his acting and public speaking.
Darell says his music can best be described as “Soul Music”, a combination of Gospel, Jazz, and Rhythm and Blues. He describes himself as a “Frontman”. Darell attributes his singing style to growing up in the church singing Gospel music in the accapella tradition and to his mother who had a successful, but brief, career as a Jazz singer.
Darell Christopher and The Ingredients won the 12th Annual Blues Challenge at Cain’s Ballroom on September 5, 2015. The Annual Blues Challenge is sponsored by the Blues Society of Tulsa and features some of the best Blues bands in the Tulsa Metropolitan area.
As winners of the Blues Challenge, Darell Christopher and The Ingredients represented Tulsa, Oklahoma at the 32nd International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Tulsa Club Hotel is a hidden gem that seamlessly blends history and modern luxury.
