LIVE MUSIC: Cicada Theory, Stargazer, and TBD

A night of acoustic and indie rock! Cicada Theory brings folk grunge while Stargazer brings a folksy emo vibe.

Cicada Theory is an alternative rock project based out of the DMV. Delivering powerful, emotive vocals and elusive yet potent lyrics, Cicada Theory strives to create a unique sound while also paying tribute to prior voices of the 1990s. Cicada Theory’s sound has elements of indie and jangle rock, as well as some grunge influences, focusing on angsty guitar riffs but also strong melodies. For fans of The Cranberries, Nirvana, and REM.

Stargazer is an emo anti-folk/pop punk band created by Audrey Valentine (songwriter, guitar + vox), who is occasionally joined by bandmates Nadja Wenby (drums), and Iris (bass). Her main stylistic influences include early 2000's emo pop-punk artists like My Chemical Romance and Brand New; as well as 2010's indie folk rock acts like The Front Bottoms, Dear and the Headlights, and Art Sorority. She is currently in the process of recording the band's debut EP, "I dont owe me anything."
