Dafina Roots Band, founded by Griot and Master percussionist Mamoudou Konate Simbo from Burkina Faso, bridges the rich musical traditions of West Africa with the innovative spirit of jazz and contemporary global sounds. Dafina; meaning Divine and Root, the creation of all life. Drawing inspiration from the ancient melodies of Mamoudou’s birthplace, the bands sound is a unique fusion of rhythm and harmony, weaving together ancestral wisdom with modern artistry. Ancient, sacred music straight from the heart of Burkina Faso blended with toe tapping melodies that’ll get you up and dancing.

Issyra Gallery hosts weekly music and art classes and events as well as private team building and private events.
