Live Bait - Theme "Showing Up"

Live Bait presents our October show on Oct. 3, 2026. Note that the venue will be our (probable) new home: Bell Street Unitarian Universalist Chapel. There is plenty of free parking accessible from the entrance to the church parking lot on Ridge St. near the intersection with Tolby St.

Hosted by our very own Paul Hossfield. Live music opens the show at 7:15.

This month's theme: "Showing Up"

How can anything happen if you do not at least show up? Do you have a story of an event in your life that you wondered if you were going to bother with but which turnied out to be life changing? Beautiful? A disaster? A disaster that when you look back on it, time has turned tragedy uinto farce?

All guests are invited to put their names in the fishbowl and tell a true story related to the theme, however they choose to interpret it.

BUT...

If there is a story you are dying to tell but which has nothing to do with the theme, have at it! We are not here to bust your chops!.

Our friendly and supportive audience will hang on your every word. Live Bait is Rhode Island's longest-running live storytelling event, featuring true stories told from the heart.

Doors open at 7:15pm with live music. Storytelling starts at 7:30 and ends at about 9:00. Bring a story! Bring a friend! Bring your listening ears and your open heart! We might just change your life.
