Live Art Competition Downtown Brampton... A Canvas for You!
About this Event
Brampton's Live Art Competition invites all artists to showcase their talent in Downtown Brampton for an exiting day of creativity and a chance to win amazing prizes!
The 10th Annual Live Art Competition will take place on Saturday, August 22. On the day of the event, competitors must check in at Gallery 35, 35 Queen St. West - Downtown Brampton.
Artists will have the opportunity to paint at a location of their choice in the downtown core, working on a canvas or watercolour paper with their medium fo choice.
Registration Begins June 19, 2026 at 12AM.
This is a rain or shine event, so come prepared for weather conditions. Don't forget to enjoy the beautiful art produced throughout this event and to meet other amazing local artists.
Registration Steps
1. Purchase your ticket on evenbrite OR in-person at Gallery 35/BACI Gifts
2 . Visit liveartcompetitionbrampton.ca to fill out your registration form and email the completed form to [email protected] OR visit Gallery 35/BACI Gifts to complete your form in-person
3. Bring your ticket receipt to Gallery 35 on the day of the competition and present it while signing-in
Important Dates:
August 22: Live Art Competition
August 26 - September 10: Gallery exhibit featuring the top 10 winners from each category (Adult & Youth)
September 12, 3pm - 5pm: Award Ceremony

Info: Artwork MUST BE SUBMITED BACK at Gallery 35, 35 Queen St. West, Downtown Brampton. IMPORTANT NOTE: Submissions received after 1:20pm will be disqualified.

PAINTING THE COMMUNITY CANVAS
Info: At this time, the public is cordially invited to participate in painting the Community Canvas with John Cutruzzola - no experience is required - this is also time for artwork viewing at Gallery 35.

CLOSING CEREMONY
Info: Artists and the public are cordially invited to attend. During the ceremony, the top 10 finalists from the Adult and Youth categories will be announced. Competition winners will be revealed at the Awards Ceremony in September 2025!
