The litty book club is your chance to read the books everyone’s talking about before they're talking about them.
About this Event

Created by readers and for readers, the litty book club is a bi-monthly function and a welcoming space for strong opinions and lively conversation around a curation of litty’s prospects — newly published books the litty team believe have the best chances of ending up on critics’ end of year lists.

On Monday, March 9 at 6:30PM, we'll be discussing — a stunning new work from universally acclaimed Daniyal Mueenuddin, whose debut short story collection won the Story Prize and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Book Prize, the National Book Award, and the Pulitzer Prize.

Moving from Pakistan’s dazzling chaotic cities to its lawless feudal countryside, This Is Where the Serpent Lives powerfully evokes contemporary feudal Pakistan, following the destinies of a dozen unforgettable characters whose lives are linked through violence and tragedy, triumph, and love. This Is Where the Serpent Lives is a tour de force destined to become a classic of contemporary literature.

To ensure event attendance and to help cover costs, tickets are $10. You do not need to purchase the book from us to attend, but we’ll be offering a 10% discount on the title if you do. You can do so by selecting between two ticket options.
