Little Hedgehogs Book Group at Hereford Library
About this Event
We’re delighted to be launching our at Hereford Library — helping young readers discover the joy of reading for pleasure and celebrate the National Year of Reading 2026!
Led by local author Rose English, these relaxed monthly sessions are perfect for children aged 7 years+. Together, we’ll chat about books, share opinions and celebrate stories — all while enjoying squash and biscuits! 🍫📖
There are no right or wrong answers. Everyone is encouraged to share their thoughts, and those who wish can write a short book review to be displayed proudly in the children’s library for others to enjoy.
Each month, the group will explore a new title chosen from a selection of age‑appropriate books curated and supplied by Herefordshire Libraries. To give you an idea of the lovely books we have been enjoying, in May we chose How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell and in June, Beanstalk M**der by P.G. Bell.
Duration: 1 hour
Suitable for ages 7 - 11 years.
Sessions are FREE but booking is essential.
All children must be accompanied by an appropriate adult who must remain on site for the duration of the session
Run by Rose English and Little Hedgehogs Book Group in partnership with Herefordshire Libraries.
