Join us for an inspiring masterclass series led by Carlos Rogério Duarte, PhD.
In each monthly session, participants will discover the fascinating stories behind some of Latin America's most celebrated authors and literary works. Together, we will explore the cultural, historical, and social contexts that shaped these books, as well as the impact they have had on readers and societies around the world.
The series will also examine how literary works change when translated from their original language, revealing nuances, meanings, and cultural elements that are often lost or transformed in the process. This unique perspective will help participants appreciate literature in a deeper and more meaningful way.
Sessions will be conducted in English, and no prior reading is required. However, participants who have already read some of the featured authors or wish to read along during the series may find the experience even more enriching and rewarding.
