Before we drop the needle, the program will open with a look into the album’s incredible, globe-spanning creation story. Driven by a fascination with South African township music, Simon traveled to Johannesburg to collaborate with extraordinary local musicians, seamlessly weaving traditional mbaqanga rhythms, zydeco, and rock into a bold new sonic tapestry.
