Top Hat Supply for Journeys is excited to welcome James Davis from Stone Cottage Studios, one of our favorite neighbors on East Pearl. These evenings were originally created by local artist Jamie Kripke and it's been fun to see how our creative community interprets where an hour long musical journey can take us. Each night is always different and there are always surprises.
Check your phone at the door, get comfortable in our art studio lounge and drop in for an hour of music. While we quietly and intentionally listen, James will take us through a well curated journey of vinyl selections. Eye masks are provided for those who want an even more meditative experience. It's like a sound bath, but more fun.
James will continue playing vinyl for those who’d like to linger after, take in the art and hang.
Top Hat Supply for Journeys is an experimental art studio and nonprofit seeking to reconnect people with the creative spirit. Through events like Jamie's listening nights we hope to learn more about how to strengthen this connection in ourselves and our community.
Please arrive at 8:00. We will serve non-alcoholic beverages. James will give a brief talk at 8:15 and music will start promptly at 8:30; we will not be able to accommodate those arriving late. Seating is first come first served. We will ask that all technology is silenced and there will be no talking during the listening hour of this event.
