Join us for a fireside chat with Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, moderated by UVA School of Law’s John C. Jeffries Jr.

Justice Barrett discusses her new book, Listening to the Law: Reflections on the Court and Constitution, offering her thoughts on legal interpretation, the role of the judiciary, and the broader relationship between society and the rule of law.

This event is produced by UVA’s Karsh Institute in partnership with UVA Law’s Karsh Center for Law and Democracy. Copies of Listening to the Law will be available for purchase on-site.

Ticketing:

Tickets are limited to one per email address and are non-transferable. All attendees must present a valid government-issued ID upon arrival. Tickets will be scanned at entry.

Parking and Arrival:

Free parking will be available in the Culbreth Parking Garage beginning at 5:00 PM. Please plan to arrive at Culbreth Theatre 30 minutes before the event begins to allow time for ticket scanning and security screening.

Security:

To help ensure a safe environment and expedite entry, guests may bring a clear bag no larger than 12" × 6" × 12" or a one-gallon clear, resealable plastic storage bag. A small clutch or wallet no larger than 4.5" × 6.5" is also permitted and does not need to be clear. Please note backpacks, food, drinks, and large banners/signs are not permitted.
