Residents of Albemarle County, the City of Charlottesville, and the Town of Scottsville are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste (HHW) on Friday, September 18, 2026, and Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9 am-3 pm. The free disposal event will take place at the Ivy Solid Waste & Recycling Center located at 4576 Dick Woods Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Commercial participation is prohibited. The event is free. Advance registration is NOT required.
