Discover the art of linocut printmaking with artist Sage as you create a custom hand-printed pouch to take home.
About this Event

Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of relief printmaking and learn how a simple idea can be transformed into a striking printed design.

Participants will learn how to translate a simple concept into a graphic composition, drawing directly onto a lino sheet before carving and printing their design onto a fabric pouch. Along the way, they will explore how shapes, lines and patterns can be used to create bold visual impact, while gaining an appreciation for the creative process behind handmade prints.

Sage will also share insights into the creative possibilities of linocut printmaking, a traditional technique celebrated for its distinctive textures, strong contrasts and handcrafted aesthetic. Suitable for beginners and aspiring makers alike, this workshop encourages experimentation, creativity and self-expression while offering an accessible introduction to the art of printmaking.

By the end of the session, participants will have completed their own hand-printed pouch and gained a deeper appreciation for the craft, process and creative potential of linocut printmaking.
