About this Event

Join printmaker and illustrator for a relaxed and welcoming lino printing workshop for adults, where you’ll design, carve and print your own artwork by hand.

This is one for those of you who adore the artwork found in medieval manuscripts. During this workshop, there will be inspiration imagery centered around the strange and wonderful world of medieval manuscripts, such as books and print-outs. A perfect way to spend a weekend afternoon with like-minded history lovers and creatives.

You’ll be guided step-by-step through the full lino printing process, from transferring your design to carving safely and confidently, before inking up and pulling your final prints by hand. During the workshop, you’ll learn helpful tips and tricks to help you make the most out of the lino printing process, and will have access to professional-grade tools and materials.

Inspiration images will be provided on the day, but you’re very welcome to bring your own ideas if you’d like to personalise your design. Your finished artwork will measure 210x148mm (A5), so if you’d prefer to sketch beforehand, please ensure your design fits within those dimensions.

Light refreshments will be provided - with vegan options. Please let us know in advance if you have any severe allergies that we should be aware of.

Please note, this venue is sadly not wheelchair accessible. Please keep an eye out for future classes in different, more accessible locations.
