Join us for the Limitless 5K, a community fundraising event benefiting Girls on the Run Southcentral Alaska.
Every step taken helps empower the next generation of confident, healthy, and resilient girls.
Girls on the Run envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Since 2011, Girls on the Run Southcentral Alaska has inspired more than 2,600 girls across Southcentral Alaska through an evidence-based program that combines physical activity with life skills development.
At a time when youth mental health and physical inactivity are growing concerns, Girls on the Run provides something truly transformational. Through interactive lessons, movement-based activities, and fun running games, participants build confidence, strengthen emotional well-being, develop healthy relationships, and learn the skills they need to navigate life's challenges, one stride at a time.
The impact of this work has been recognized nationally. U.S. Surgeon General, Vivek Murthy highlighted Girls on the Run as an example of how physical activity can improve youth mental health, emphasizing its unique approach of helping girls learn life skills through interactive lessons and running games. Among after-school programs, Girls on the Run was specifically recognized for integrating movement with social-emotional learning in a way that supports the whole child.
