It's that time of the year! The time to go through those closets and get rid of the clothing that you no longer wear.The women's clothing event is looking for donations of women's clothing in good clean condition. Accessories will also be accepted. Please do not donate anything that is stained, ripped (unless that is how it is supposed to be), or in poor condition. And please......... no wigs.
How does this event work? Excellent question!
Between March 1st and 31st, donations will be accepted at 641 Columbia street. The clothing will be inspected and sorted into sizes. Those sizes will then be put into their appropriate categories ( for example, long sleeved shirts, sweaters, dresses, pants, shorts and so on). At the event the clothing is put out in their sizes and categories to make "shopping" as easy as possible for the people that attend! NO DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE EVENT.
There is no charge for the clothing.
This event is made possible by the generous donations from our community.
Let me make one thing really clear......... YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DONATE TO COME TO THE EVENT.
The event will be hosted by the Lillooet Legion Branch #66.
There is a suggested donation of $2 or a non-perishable food item for the event. All of this gets donated to the food bank.
Any left over clothing items are donated to the Community Cares Building. Its a win-win for everyone!
