Join us in central London for a day focused on relationships, brain fog, sleep, fatigue and life after cancer treatment.
About this Event

Spend the day learning from leading experts, gaining practical, evidence-based strategies, and connecting with others navigating life after cancer treatment.

Changes in relationships, brain fog, sleep difficulties, fatigue and questions about what comes next are common after cancer treatment, yet many people feel they have to navigate them alone.

That's why we've brought together Professor Nazanin Derakhshan, Senior Psychotherapist Surabhi Chaturvedi from King's College Hospital and Sleep Scientist and Health Psychologist Dr Sophie Bostock to discuss some of the most common challenges after cancer treatment, why they happen and what may help.

Hosted at the Wella Studio, opposite Trafalgar Square, the day will combine expert-led sessions, audience Q&As and opportunities to connect with others who have also finished cancer treatment.

A nutritious lunch and refreshments are included throughout the day, and each attendee will receive a Life after Treatment Toolkit Workbook and a goody bag kindly provided by Wella.

With just 40 places available, the day has been designed to feel calm, thoughtful and well-paced, with plenty of opportunities for questions, reflection and conversation.

Whether treatment finished recently or years ago, you'll leave with practical strategies, new ideas and a clearer understanding of what may help moving forward.

Who is this for? This event is for adults (18+) who have completed cancer treatment and would like trusted information, practical support and the opportunity to ask questions directly to experts working in these areas.

What the day will cover

Across the day, we’ll explore some of the most common challenges after treatment:

  • Brain fog and cognitive changes: Understand what can happen in the brain after treatment and learn ways to support focus, memory and confidence.
  • Relationships after cancer: How relationships can change after treatment with partners, friends and family, ways to communicate when things don’t feel “back to normal”, and how to respond to unhelpful comments or expectations.
  • Sleep and fatigue: Evidence-based approaches to improving sleep, managing fatigue and making the most of your energy.
  • Ask the Experts: An opportunity to ask questions directly to our expert speakers, hear different perspectives, and bring together the day's learning into practical next steps you can apply at home.

The day includes regular breaks, time for questions, and opportunities to connect with others who understand, without any pressure to share more than feels comfortable.

There will also be a dedicated quiet room available, and you're welcome to step out and take a break whenever you need to. Members of the Life after Cancer team will be there throughout the day to answer questions and help with anything you need.

What you'll leave with:

  • Practical tools to support relationships, brain fog, sleep and fatigue after cancer
  • Answers to questions you may not have had the opportunity to ask before
  • New ideas and strategies you can put into practice in everyday life
  • Connections with others who understand
  • A personalised workbook containing your notes, reflections and next steps
