In the years leading up to the American Revolutionary War, colonists gathered around a tree in the Boston Commons to hang it with lanterns and banners as a symbol of resistance and protest against British rule. Now, leading up to our nation’s 250th anniversary, kids of all ages can decorate their own solar lanterns and banners to hang on what will be Woodstock’s very own Liberty Tree for the entire month!
