Want to find a great way to meet and work with people who care about our community, state and country - the world? At the monthly post card 'party' we address our individual concerns to people we respect and support, or those that need a talking to. Right now we need to feel connected, involved and not isolated; to build a safe network, share news, voice our opinions on various issues, learn, visit, and complete our card count goal for the day. New to writing post cards? You're especially welcomed!
This event is listed with National Indivisible, and is hosted by a private person.
TIME: We meet once a month usually on a Saturday afternoon, though in August we've schedule two - one in Sequim 8/6 and this one.

WHAT TO BRING? Post cards & stamps ( or stamped ones from the PO), pen. Thicker poster board in various colors can be cut into 4.25"x6", also. Some cards are provided. Funny stickers may be added to cards.
Please bring: LISTS and CONTACT INFO of people you want to write to, and copies if you want to share. A new list will be provided.
ISSUES YOU WANT TO WRITE and TALK ABOUT. During the days prior to the party, jot down issues you find in news outlets of various kinds, articles, podcasts, and other sources. Who to write to? - investigative journalists; TV hosts like Stephen Cobert and the CBS CEO; dynamic Legislators, judges, lawyers, professors, "stars", law enforcement, scientists, governors, military leaders; mayors, school board & city council members.... And so many more.
WHAT TO EXPECT? Casual, welcoming work space with a lot of opinionated and respectful participants. A host, me, an experienced organizer, in my 70s, a liberal democrat and feminist, retired insurance agent and teacher, owner of a sweet dog. I've lived on the Peninsula for 9.5 years, born and raised in NE WA state.
HISTORY OF GROUP: We started meeting in Nov. 2024, when the election proved a horrible forecast of Trump, his MAGA followers, the Heritage Foundation & its deadly 2025 play book, using the POTUS office for greed and corruption, the undermining of our institutions and the whole country's security and world status.
We are inundated daily with concernig news since our country falls into the direction of dictatorship and loss of Constitutional rights by many of us, and we've become instant activists. We have joined the ranks of tens of millions of our diverse people, from all walks of life, from all across the country to prevent the destruction of our constitutional democratic republic and individual freedoms.
We come together to DO SOMETHING! We actually are active in many other things on the other days of the month, but that's not to be explained here. You'll have to attend to find out.
