Liberation Saturday is a FREE annual community gathering celebrating culture, creativity, wellness, joy, and collective power.
What began as a collaborative activation in 2022 as a project by Free Alchemy Studio has grown into a vibrant cultural micro festival that brings together Black and brown artists, makers, growers, musicians, organizers, educators, healers, and community members for a day rooted in connection and possibility.
Now entering its fifth edition, Liberation Saturday continues to create space for people to gather, learn, share resources, support local and imagine a more liberated future together.
This year's gathering includes:
🪴 Garden Row: powered by West Michigan Young Farmers featuring free produce from Moore Garden and Farm, flower bundles by Happy Hour Co., local honey from Black Queen Bee Honey and plant seedlings from Solidago Landscape Design
🧺 Market Row: featuring local Black and brown women vendors
🛖 Village Row: featuring local community resources and organizations
🌱 Growth Row: youth + family workshops hosted by Genesis Life Skills featuring money management skills, juicing tips and a DIY tie dye zone
Presented by Free Alchemy Studio in partnership with Benevolent Whispers, Jade Rabbit, West Michigan Welcome Plan and West Michigan Young Farmers
