Level 1 Improv – Introduction to Improvisation
Ready to play? Then this is the perfect place to start.
In this fun and welcoming 10-week course, you'll discover the basics of improvisational theatre. Through easy-to-follow exercises and hilarious games, you'll learn how to create scenes on the spot—without scripts, preparation, or previous experience.
The focus is on having fun, taking risks, embracing mistakes, and learning to trust yourself and others. You'll develop quick-thinking skills, creativity, confidence, and the ability to stay present in the moment.
Throughout the course, you'll explore the core principles of improv, including "Yes, And", accepting offers, active listening, teamwork, trust, and letting go of the need to be perfect.
Whether you've always wanted to try theatre or comedy, or you're simply looking for a fun way to step outside your comfort zone, everyone is welcome.
No experience required. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to play.
Prerequisite: None. This course is open to complete beginners.
