Letters Festival Food Writing Event at Gigi's
About this Event
We are overjoyed to present a night of food writing with Adrienne Su, Cody Bishop, Ra’Niqua Lee, & Sarra Sedghi!
Adrienne Su is the author of five books of poems, most recently Peach State (2021), and one collection of essays, Hot, Sour, Salty, Sweet (2024). Her awards include an NEA fellowship, six appearances in The Best American Poetry, and residencies at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Yaddo. Peach State was named a 2022 Book All Georgians Should Read by the Georgia Center for the Book. Su lives in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she teaches at Dickinson College. Her next book of poems, Naming It, is forthcoming in 2027.
Cody Bishop (b.1992) is an occasional writer and artist living in Atlanta.
Ra’Niqua Lee believes that storytelling—defined broadly as written, spoken, and lived—is a key part of making this world a better place! Beyond writing, examples of her storytelling praxis are community organizing, gardening, cooking, and cosplaying. Ra’Niqua is a 2024 NEA fellow. Her debut short story collection FOR WHAT AILS YOU was a finalist for the Georgia 2025 Townsend Prize, and her debut novel ANTHEM is forthcoming from Feminist Press in 2028. Every word is in honor of her little sister, Nesha, who battled schizoaffective disorder until the very end. For her, always.
Sarra Sedghi is a journalist based in Atlanta who focuses on food and culture. She got her master's in narrative writing from UGA in 2017. She is a reporter at Rough Draft and has bylines in Allrecipes, Atlanta Magazine, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bon Appetit, Eater, Food & Wine, and Gastro Obscura. In May 2026, she won the Atlanta Press Club’s Award of Excellence for narrative writing.
